James Fox

James Fox is a Founding Principal, Co-CEO and Managing Partner of Ninepoint Partners. Prior to Ninepoint’s formation, James served as the President of Sprott Asset Management LP (SAM) as well as Managing Director of Sprott Private Wealth. In his role at SAM, James led business development in Canada and abroad. Notably, James led the Firm’s efforts to launch Sprott 'Physicals' franchise which included Sprott Physical Gold Trust on NYSE Arca and TSX that raised over $4 Billion in assets. James also helped launch and then led the successful hostile take-over of the +$1 Billion valued Central Gold Trust by Sprott Physical Gold Trust.

Previously, James co-founded & served as Chairman of PayBright - which became Canada's Fintech Company of the Year in 2019 by the Digital Finance Institute, and was named to Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 for 2020 before being acquired in December 2020.

James has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto along with a BA in Finance and Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
