The “Executive
Advocate” service is a unique outplacement approach tailored to the needs of
bilingual individuals. We provide a highly personalized service that
reduces the stress and frustration of a typical job search and adds value every
step of the way. Due to this time-intensive method we only serve a limited
number of clients at any one time.
The key service of the
“Executive Advocate” program is through the work of a Certified Personnel
Consultant in promoting or “advocating” the Bilingual Executive directly to
specific targeted employers on a proactive basis. This “push” rather than
“pull” approach results in more interviews, more offers and ultimately a more
satisfying career.
The Program
The “Executive
Advocate” program is a 6 month process comprised of the following stages and
activities:
Resume review
and preparation in English and Japanese. Email consultation on an ongoing basis
for customization ofthe resume and cover letter for specific applications.
One-on-One
strategic meetings twice monthly for the first 3 months then continued once
monthly for the latter 3 months as needed. Strategic meetings will likely cover
such topics as:
Evaluating current career
situation.
Discussion of work-life
balance.
Networking and the hidden job
market.
Interview skills coaching.
Evaluating job offers.
Advocacy to
targeted companies including initial contact, presentation of strengths and
abilities, follow-up on introduction, interview coordination and salary
negotiation.
Additional
consultation via telephone and/or email for Internet job search techniques,
interviewing, thank you letters.
Electronic
resume distribution to appropriate executive recruiters and employers.
Meetings at a location to suit
the candidate.
A flexible, individual
approach.
